Overview We are looking for a highly organized HR, Payroll, and Accounts Receivable Clerk with automotive experience. In this multifaceted full-time role, you’ll be in charge of overseeing HR, Payroll, AR, and multiple office duties. The ideal candidate is a meticulous professional with excellent communication skills. We are a small company, and we all wear many hats.

Summary of Position This position plays a key role in supporting the dealership’s administrative business office with many duties. This position is responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll, reconciling and administration of benefits, maintaining accurate payroll and employee personnel records, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and dealership-specific policies, and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, computer savvy, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive office environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Perform daily office operations, including multiple responsibilities, and multi-line phone systems.
  • Oversee human resources functions such as employee onboarding & offboarding, training & development, maintaining personnel records, and supporting employee relations.
  • Review & reconcile technician payroll postings and unapplied labor
  • Perform payroll processing including hourly, salary, & commission employees in collaboration with HR policies; ensure accurate record-keeping for employee hours and benefits administration.
  • Maintain HR compliance
  • Handle accounts receivable tasks by invoicing clients, tracking payments, month-end statements, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Support office managing vendor relationships and ensuring cost-effective practices across departments.
  • Communicates across all teams
  • Make sure dealership accounting office is adhered to and reflect our company’s high standards. Responsible for company-wide compliance for privacy and sales, service, F&I and parts departments.
  • Performs other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in automotive dealership office operations preferred
  • Knowledge of HR, Payroll Processing, & AR processes and basic accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with dealership accounting software
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
