Junior Freelance Writer & Storyteller

About Us At Art & Science UK, we create visually ambitious storytelling projects that combine history, art, literature, science, and emerging AI-driven filmmaking. Our production channel, JamesDrakeTV, has recently received several awards in the AI Video and Movie Production sector, and we are expanding our creative development team. We are looking for a passionate writer and storyteller to join us during the writing and development phase of our growing slate of creative projects.

The Role This is a collaborative freelance role for someone who genuinely loves storytelling and wants to grow creatively while working alongside an experienced creative team. You will work closely with the director and other members of the team during brainstorming sessions, story development meetings, and script workshops in London. We are looking for someone we can mentor and develop creatively over time, someone with strong instincts, imagination, and enthusiasm for narrative storytelling. Projects may include: Adaptations of classic literature Historical and science-based storytelling Original screenplay concepts Short-form and long-form video scripts AI-driven cinematic productions Documentary-style narratives

Who We’re Looking For You do not need years and years of professional experience. Passion, curiosity, and storytelling ability are more important to us than a long résumé. We’re looking for someone who: Is passionate about storytelling and narrative structure Loves subjects such as art, history, science, mythology, or literature Enjoys developing ideas collaboratively Has strong writing and communication skills Is imaginative, curious, and creatively ambitious Wants to learn and grow within a creative production environment Bonus points if you have: Screenplay or scriptwriting experience Experience with film, YouTube, or documentary formats Interest in AI-assisted filmmaking and creative technologies

Requirements Based in London or able to attend regular in-person meetings Available 2–3 days per week on a freelance basis Comfortable working collaboratively with creatives and production teams
