About The HR Consultants We don’t mean to show off… but we’re kind of a big deal in the world of HR consultancy. The HR Consultants is a boutique HR consultancy supporting businesses across the UK with practical, commercially focused and legally compliant people solutions. We partner with organisations that want expert HR support without the overhead of an in-house team, helping them build workplaces where people genuinely love to work. Our services span the full employment lifecycle, including retained HR advisory, recruitment, policy development, organisational change, training, and people strategy. We pride ourselves on straightforward advice, strong relationships, and solutions that are operationally effective and commercially sensible. Over the past five years, we’ve helped 50,000+ people have a better experience at work and supported hundreds of organisations to grow through their people, and that feels pretty great.

The Role: We're looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused Junior HR Consultant to join our growing consultancy team. This isn't a back-office role. From day one, you'll be working directly with our clients, handling real queries, supporting employee relations matters, and contributing to HR delivery across a varied portfolio of businesses. You'll work alongside our senior consultants across both subscription client support and project delivery. You'll be building your consultancy toolkit from the ground up, learning what it really means to be an HR partner rather than just an HR function. We operate as HR partners to our clients, not a helpdesk and no two days will be the same.

What You'll Be Doing: Day to day, that means: Being the first point of contact for clients calling in with HR queries. Handling questions confidently, taking detailed messages and escalating when needed. You'll be the voice that makes clients feel looked after from the very first hello. Supporting employee relations matters from the outset. Gathering information, preparing paperwork, drafting correspondence and helping the team manage cases effectively across multiple clients. Drafting employment documents, letters and client-facing correspondence. From offer letters and contracts to leaver paperwork and process letters. You'll quickly build a broad base of practical HR experience. Supporting the development of HR policies and employee handbooks that are clear, compliant and reflect each client's culture. Managing HR administration including onboarding and leaver processes, maintaining accurate client records and supporting payroll data management. Supporting consultancy project delivery chasing actions, tracking progress and keeping multiple client workstreams moving. Supporting recruitment activity including posting adverts, screening applications and coordinating interview logistics. Keeping up with employment law developments and supporting the team in delivering commercially sound, legally compliant advice to clients. You'll learn fast here.

What We're Looking For You'll be someone who: Holds a CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or has demonstrable experience in an HR role. You don't need to know everything yet but you need a solid foundation to build room. Is confident on the phone and comfortable being the first voice a client hears. You'll be representing the consultancy from day one. Has strong written communication skills and takes pride in producing accurate, professional work. Is incredibly organised with a knack for juggling multiple clients and workstreams without dropping the ball. Is proactive you spot what needs doing and get on with it, without waiting to be asked. Wants to grow. This is a genuine launchpad into HR consultancy, with a clear path toward a full Generalist/Consultant role as your confidence and experience develop.

Why You'll Love Working With Us Hybrid working: Office Monday–Wednesday, home Thursday–Friday Growth opportunities: Small, growing consultancy with real development potential Office perks: Bar and cake station (no pressure—just fun!) Location: Central Stratford-upon-Avon, perfect for walks, shopping and lunch breaks Benefits: Holidays, pension, private healthcare, parking and Christmas perks Culture: A genuinely fun, supportive and collaborative team
