ALS Laboratories are looking for a Laboratory Technician to support our team at ALS Carlisle on a zero hours contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing a diverse range of finished food products and associated ingredients using a variety of analytical techniques. This role also includes supporting the sample receipt department as required, particularly at weekends. This position is ideal for someone with a meticulous eye for detail who can follow processes and procedures accurately in a fast-paced laboratory environment. About the Position Contract: Zero Hours Contract Location: Carlisle Please note: as this is a zero hours contract, there is no guaranteed minimum number of working hours. The Day to Day Perform analysis in accordance with documented methods and procedures Follow all processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency Carry out routine quality control checks and basic equipment calibrations Maintain a clean and tidy workstation at all times Comply with all site Quality Management Systems and Health & Safety procedures Accurately record test results and associated documentation Support the sample receipt area when required The Essentials Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment Ability to read, understand and accurately follow written instructions Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong attention to detail Good time management and organisational skills A methodical and reliable approach to work Working at ALS The ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.
