Lecturer (Clinical And Communication Skills - Education Focused)

Employment Type: Part - time (14 hours a week) Duration: Fixed Term until 31 December 2026 Remuneration: $127k - $150k base prorated (+17% superannuation and a leave loading) Work rights: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. About The Role

This is a face-to-face Education Focused academic position, based at the Kensington campus within the School of Clinical Medicine, with occasional travel to metropolitan and rural campuses as required. The role contributes to the design, delivery and evaluation of clinical and communication skills teaching across the undergraduate Medicine program. Clinical skills, communication skills and simulation-based education are integrated longitudinally throughout the BMedMD program.

The Lecturer or Senior Lecturer reports to the Director, BMedMD Program and may supervise academic and professional staff as required.

Key Skills And Experience Required

A medical degree, registrable in NSW. A higher degree in a relevant discipline or postgraduate qualification in medical education or higher education Evidence of effective clinical teaching and assessment of clinical competence in the context of a medical program. Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills with superior professional presentation attributes and standards. Demonstrated capacity to build strong relationships with students, academic staff and conjoint appointees. Experience in the organisation and delivery of professional development activities for staff. Evidence of ability to work well in a team. Sound understanding of University and Faculty administration, practices, policies and procedures.
