About the RoleDue to continued growth, we are recruiting Lecturers in SEND to join our Transitions Hub from September 2026.

The Transitions Hub supports young people across the Liverpool City Region with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), working at Entry Level 2 and above. Our aim is to equip learners with the skills, confidence and independence they need to progress into adulthood, further education or employment.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a growing, specialist provision.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver inspiring and motivating teaching sessions that promote student engagement and success. Implement effective feedback and assessment systems to monitor and adapt teaching for optimal learner progress. Collaborate with a team of teaching and care assistants to provide the best opportunities for all students. Maintain a professional learning environment, consistently implementing behaviour management processes. Support curriculum development and innovation to enhance learner experiences and outcomes. Develop high-quality resources and utilise technology to support independent learning. Establish professional relationships with students and collaborate with multi-agency teams as needed.

Criteria

Possess a minimum of a relevant Level 3 vocational qualification. Possess a PGCE/Certificate of education or equivalent teaching qualification. Track record of successful teaching within the lifelong learning sector Detailed knowledge of EHCPs and students with SEND Experience in developing and maintaining external partnerships to enrich teaching and learning. Ability to provide clear, direct and constructive written and verbal feedback Ability to inspire, motivate and raise the aspirations of learners through high-quality teaching Please see the person specification for the full criteria
