Job Title: Female Leisure Cleaner (Changing Rooms & Poolside Focus)Location: Leisure ClubReports To: Leisure Manager / Leisure Operations managerJob PurposeTo maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation within the leisure club, with a primary focus on female changing rooms and poolside areas. The role is essential in ensuring members feel comfortable, safe, and confident in the cleanliness of all facilities, particularly in high-use wet areas.Key ResponsibilitiesSpecialist Cleaning - Female Changing RoomsClean and maintain female changing rooms to a high standard at all timesEnsure privacy, discretion, and professionalism when working in occupied areasRegularly check and replenish toiletries, paper products, and suppliesClean showers, toilets, lockers, mirrors, floors, and vanity areasPoolside & Wet Area CleaningMaintain cleanliness and hygiene of poolside areas, ensuring safe, slip-free surfacesRegularly clean surrounding tiles, drainage areas, and seatingMonitor water spillages and respond promptly to reduce hazardsWork in line with health and safety procedures specific to wet environmentsGeneral Cleaning DutiesClean communal areas including reception, corridors, studios, and gym spacesEmpty bins and dispose of waste appropriatelyFollow daily and periodic cleaning schedulesUse cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH guidelinesHealth & SafetyFollow all health and safety procedures, especially regarding wet floors and chemical useDisplay appropriate signage (e.g. wet floor signs) while cleaningReport any hazards, maintenance issues, or damages immediatelyEnsure cleaning equipment is used and stored safelyMember ExperienceBe polite, respectful, and professional when interacting with membersWork efficiently to minimise disruption to members' use of facilitiesRespond to ad-hoc cleaning requests promptlySkills & ExperiencePrevious cleaning experience preferred (leisure, hospitality, or similar environment)Understanding of hygiene standards, particularly in wet areasAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyAttention to detail and high standards of cleanlinessAdditional RequirementThis role requires a female attendant due to the nature of working within female changing areas, ensuring member privacy and comfortPersonal AttributesReliable and punctualDiscreet and respectfulHardworking with a strong work ethicTakes pride in maintaining high standardsWe believe that by taking care of our team members, we create a positive atmosphere that benefits both our team members and valued guests.
