We are currently looking to add a Logistics Specialist to our busy team. In this role you will join a busy team in the purchasing department. The job purpose is to coordinate and support logistics operations with a strong emphasis on export/import processes, and the timely movement of goods across international borders. The role ensures accurate documentation, customs declarations, and communication with hauliers. Key Responsibilities Customs & Compliance Prepare and submit accurate import/export documents and liaise with hauliers and couriers Keep records of all customs documentation for audit purposes Logistics Administration Coordinate shipments with hauliers and couriers (air, sea, and road) Track and trace shipments and proactively address any delays or issues Process shipping and customs documents (delivery notes, commercial invoices, packing lists) Work with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations Maintain MRP system data related to shipments General admin work – i.e. archiving all customs documents Desired experience, skills: Experience in logistics or supply chain administration Minimum 2–3 years experience dealing with customs and international shipping Knowledge of UK, EU, and international trade regulations, including export/import documentation Familiarity with Incoterms and HS Codes High attention to detail and accuracy with documentation Strong organisational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to work independently and manage deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience with MRP systems Team player with the ability to work self-sufficiently Positive can-do attitude.
