M&A Associate - Power & Utilities

Job Title: Associate – M&A (Power & Utilities) Location: London Overview A leading global advisory firm is seeking to hire an Associate into its Power & Utilities M&A team in London. The team advises on a broad range of transactions across the energy and infrastructure landscape, including renewables, conventional power, utilities, and energy transition assets. This is a high-exposure role working on complex, high-value transactions across Europe.

Key Responsibilities Execute M&A transactions across the power & utilities sector, including buy-side, sell-side, and strategic advisory mandates Build and manage detailed financial models (valuation, LBO, DCF, merger models) Lead the preparation of client materials, including pitchbooks, IMs, and management presentations Coordinate due diligence processes and liaise with clients, investors, and advisors Support senior bankers in origination efforts and sector coverage initiatives Mentor Analysts and review junior workstreams

Candidate Profile 3–5 years’ experience in Investment Banking, ideally with exposure to Power, Utilities, Energy or Infrastructure Strong financial modelling and valuation skillset Experience working on M&A transactions (execution experience preferred) Excellent academic background Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders Demonstrated interest in the energy transition and infrastructure sectors
