Crieff Hydro Hotel
In the heart of Scotland, we’re set in a 900 acre estate in stunning Perthshire. A home from home, we’ve been welcoming generations of families for 150 years. We have 215 hotel bedrooms, 55 self-catering lodges, 6 restaurants and over 60 onsite activities – including a spa, leisure center, horse-riding center and our famously exciting Action Glen. About The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Team Leader to play a key role in the day-to-day operation, upkeep and ongoing improvement of the Crieff Hydro Estate. With a dedicated in-house maintenance team on site, we are able to respond quickly and effectively to guest and operational needs, delivering both reactive repairs and a structured planned maintenance programme.
In this role, you will support the Maintenance Manager in leading and coordinating a busy, multi-skilled team, prioritising workloads across a diverse and dynamic estate that includes guest bedrooms, public areas, leisure facilities and back-of-house spaces. You will help ensure the site is consistently maintained and presented to a high standard, reflecting the quality and reputation of the resort.
This is a hands-on leadership position, where you will split your time between supervising and supporting the team and actively carrying out general maintenance and repairs yourself. The workload is varied and fast-paced, so you’ll need to be organised, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple tasks while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and guest experience.
What We Need From You
Proven management or supervisory experience within a maintenance, facilities or building environment Good all-round practical skills, with working knowledge of: Painting and decorating Joinery Plumbing General building maintenance A clear understanding of building services and maintenance operations Sound knowledge of Health & Safety, safe systems of work and compliance requirements A team player who supports and motivates others A pride in your own work delivering to a high-quality level Has a positive, proactive approach and thrives in a busy, dynamic environment Can adapt to changing priorities and workloads As you’ll regularly interact with our guests, you’ll have excellent customer service skills and be an ambassador Crieff Hydro What You’ll Get From Us
