About the Role Privacy Culture Ltd is a specialist privacy consultancy and SaaS platform business, partnering with leading organisations to embed sustainable privacy practices. As we grow our Consulting Services practice, we are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Manager to join our team and help deliver high-quality privacy programmes across a diverse client portfolio. You will take day-to-day ownership of client engagements, lead junior team members, and act as a trusted point of contact for clients across our core service lines, including privacy operations, DPO-as-a-Service, data subject rights management, and privacy assessments.
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery Manage the end-to-end delivery of privacy engagements across multiple clients simultaneously, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with agreed scope. Lead and coordinate DSAR programmes, DPIAs, LIAs, ROPAs, gap assessments, and other privacy operations workstreams. Act as a senior day-to-day point of contact for client stakeholders, building trusted relationships at manager and senior manager level. Provide DPO-as-a-Service support to clients, including attending governance meetings, drafting board-level updates, and advising on regulatory developments.
Project & Resource Management Plan, monitor, and manage project delivery across concurrent engagements, maintaining project trackers, milestones, and risk logs. Coordinate resourcing and task allocation across consultant and contractor teams, escalating capacity or quality issues to the Consulting Services Director. Support commercial management including tracking time against SOWs, flagging scope creep, and assisting with billing and invoice sign-off. Quality & Governance Review and quality-assure deliverables produced by junior team members, including policy documents, assessment reports, SOPs, and client communications. Support the development and maintenance of internal templates, frameworks, and methodologies to improve consistency and efficiency across the practice. Monitor relevant ICO and EU supervisory authority guidance, proactively identifying implications for client engagements.
Business Development Contribute to proposals, scope of work documents, and pricing models for new and existing client engagements. Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and communicate these to the Consulting Services Director. Represent Privacy Culture at client workshops, webinars, and external events as required.
Desired Skillset
Essential Solid grounding in UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and associated data protection legislation, with demonstrable experience applying these in a professional context. Prior experience in a privacy consultancy, law firm, or in-house privacy function, ideally at manager or senior consultant level. Proven track record of managing multiple client engagements or projects simultaneously, with strong organisational and prioritisation skills. Experience delivering or overseeing privacy operations workstreams such as DSARs, DPIAs, ROPAs, LIAs, or gap assessments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex privacy concepts for non-specialist audiences. Strong interpersonal skills and confidence managing client relationships at a senior level. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work under pressure.
Desirable CIPP/E, CIPM, BCS Certificate in Data Protection, or equivalent privacy qualification. Experience in a DPO-as-a-Service or outsourced privacy function context. Familiarity with privacy SaaS platforms and technology-enabled privacy management. Exposure to commercial activities such as scoping, SOW drafting, or proposal writing. Experience working across sectors including financial services, retail, media, or professional services.
What We Offer Hybrid working: 2 days per week in our Fleet Street office, with flexibility around client commitments. A genuine pathway to Senior Manager and Director level as the practice grows. Exposure to a broad range of sectors, clients, and privacy challenges. A small, expert team where your contribution is visible and valued.
