The Role
Working alternate shifts of 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm, you will be responsible for achieving production targets through the correct set-up and operation of mixing and bowl chopping equipment, ensuring recipe adherence, allergen control and GMP standards are maintained throughout. You will complete all required documentation, conduct asset care and report plant faults promptly. A strong team player, you will support effective shift handovers, contribute to the training of colleagues and escalate any concerns relating to quality, production or health and safety, all while working in full compliance with site policies and procedures.
Your Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all relevant company, site and legislative policies, procedures and regulations. Maintain high GMP standards across all areas, including clean-as-you-go and tidy working practices. Complete all paperwork and daily production documentation to the required standard. Set up and operate mixing and bowl chopping equipment correctly. Maintain species and allergen control, recipe adherence and giveaway control at all times. Conduct asset care activities in a timely manner. Meet site standards for quality, quantity, cost and timescale. Ensure safe, effective and efficient use of materials, plant, equipment and machinery. Log and report all plant faults and issues promptly. Maintain effective communication and shift handovers within and between areas. Promote and support team working. Escalate any issues detrimental to production, quality or health and safety. Highlight cost reduction and quality improvement opportunities. Assist with the training and development of team members. Raise employee relations concerns as appropriate. Undertake training necessary to meet role competencies and objectives. Carry out any reasonable alternative or ad hoc tasks as directed by line management. Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others, cooperating with the employer to meet all statutory health and safety requirements.

Prior Experience
Experience of working in a factory environment. Prior experience of working within the food sector.

Good communication and team working skills. Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks. Ability to accept and learn from constructive criticism. Willing to undertake any necessary training to achieve the required competencies and job objectives. Ability to identify and interpret plant and equipment faults.
