Job purpose This Modern Apprenticeship role offers an exciting gateway for you to launch your career within Audit Scotland’s Innovation and Quality Group. Our Innovation and Quality (I&Q) business group comprises five functions: professional support and learning; quality; digital audit and digital services; and organisational improvement. I&Q ensures that the quality of audit work across Audit Scotland is outstanding, innovative and at the forefront of the profession, and helps fulfil the vision and strategic objectives of the Auditor General for Scotland and the Accounts Commission.

Your apprenticeship will be ‘based’ within Digital Services, with chances to work with other Innovation and Quality teams during the two-year programme. You'll gain hands-on experience by supporting key functions; for example, supporting the delivery of projects from initiation to closure, assisting with project reporting, supporting project meetings, communicating with stakeholders, learning about what an Information Security Management System (ISMS) is and co-ordinating ISMS activities that maintain Audit Scotland ISO 27001:2022 certification.

Your journey will be guided by our dedicated Senior Digital Project Manager and you will have ongoing support from an appointed mentor who will help you develop both professionally and personally throughout your apprenticeship.

This varied role promises a vibrant learning environment, where you will be supporting the delivery of projects, while learning at the same time and working towards achieving a recognised Project Management qualification. This is a brilliant opportunity to build skills, confidence, and begin a rewarding career at Audit Scotland. Please refer to the role profile for full details.

Special working conditions This is a hybrid working role where the successful candidate may choose to work from home. However, the role holder will be expected to spend a minimum of two days a week in our Glasgow or Edinburgh offices when required to do so.
