Job Description What you can expect We are recruiting a Class 1 Driver to join our team at our Bradford Depot. Our Drivers are a big part of what keeps our business moving! You’ll be out on the road looking after our customers and playing a vital role in keeping our network running smoothly. If you’re a safe, reliable driver who takes pride in what you do, we’d love to have you on the team. In order to be considered for this role you will need to hold a valid driving licence with Category C+E and hold a driver CPC.

Role Purpose:

This is a front-line customer facing role. Clients expect professional and courteous behavior as well as being friendly and open. Rhenus customers expect punctuality and the correct collection references to be advised upon arrival. You are expected to check all goods loaded and unloaded and report discrepancies and damages in a timely manner. Rhenus has multi drops and multi collections, we would expect our drivers to manage and plan these in the most effective way to ensure strict timings are adhered to and customers are satisfied.

What you bring Skills:

ADR license preferable Customer service skills Be thorough and pay attention to detail and report issues and amendments clearly Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations Able to work well under pressure Able to use PDA’s competently Able to operate and control equipment Driving long or short distances Ability to route multi drops and collections Supervising or helping to load and unload goods Lifting and carrying goods Making sure loads are safely secured Following traffic reports and adapting routes if necessary Completing delivery paperwork Keeping up-to-date running sheets Carrying out basic routine maintenance, such as oil, tire and brake checks
