The Role The firm is looking to recruit a part-qualified through to junior qualified Patent Attorney to join its Chemistry practice.

The team handles a varied mix of prosecution and contentious matters across a range of chemical subject areas. You will gain exposure to complex, high-value work and have the opportunity to get involved in more technical and strategic matters as your experience develops.

Key Responsibilities Drafting and prosecuting UK, European and international patent applications Managing a varied caseload across chemistry-related technologies Supporting contentious matters, including oppositions and appeals Assisting with multi-jurisdictional matters where required Working closely with colleagues to deliver commercially focused advice to clients Contributing to the development of client relationships

Requirements Part-qualified UK and/or EQE through to circa 3 years’ PQE Background in Chemistry or a related discipline Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications Exposure to EPO work would be beneficial Strong academic background Commercial awareness and strong attention to detail Excellent communication and organisational skills A collaborative and proactive approach
