The Paediatric Team are looking to appoint an organised and motivated individual to join the Waiting List Office at Royal Derby Hospital as a Waiting List Team Leader. This is a part-time role working 30 hours per week.

The post holder will lead the day-to-day management of the waiting list team, supporting the delivery of an efficient and responsive administrative service to patients, families and clinical teams.

This role is key to ensuring patients are booked appropriately, pathways are managed effectively and RTT standards are maintained. The successful candidate will be confident working in a fast-paced environment, able to prioritise workloads and support the team to meet service demands.

A good understanding of RTT pathways and previous waiting list experience is essential for this role.

Lead and manage the waiting list team on a day-to-day basis, including workload allocation, supervision and performance support Ensure effective staff management including sickness absence, annual leave and maintaining adequate cover to support service delivery Support staff development through training, guidance and day-to-day leadership Oversee the management of patient pathways, ensuring patients are booked in line with clinical priority and RTT targets Monitor and validate waiting lists to support the reduction of long waiters and ensure data accuracy Liaise with consultants, clinical teams and booking staff to resolve pathway queries and support service delivery Attend and contribute to operational, RTT and theatre planning meetings Ensure high standards of customer service when dealing with patients and families Identify and support service improvements to enhance efficiency and patient experience
