6-Month Contract | London (Hybrid) £225 - £255pd A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join its HR team on a 6-month contract. This role will support the delivery of accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services across UK and international employee populations.

This opportunity would suit a payroll professional who is confident operating in a regulated financial services environment and comfortable handling complex payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities

Support the processing, checking, and delivery of UK and Ireland payrolls Act as a subject matter expert on payroll processes and systems Handle payroll-related queries through a case management system, ensuring SLAs are met Manage starters, leavers, transfers, prorated pay, bonuses, and salary increases Administer statutory payments, parental leave, pensions, and benefits through payroll Support global mobility payrolls, including UK shadow payrolls and hypothetical tax Prepare payroll reports and accounting information for Finance teams Produce statutory reporting including P11Ds, Class 1A NICs, and PSA submissions Liaise with external providers such as pension administrators and tax advisors Ensure payroll data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with legislation

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 3 years' experience in UK payroll administration Essential experience working within the financial services sector Strong Excel and general IT skills; payroll system experience highly desirable Proven ability to manage complex payroll queries and calculations Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach Able to work collaboratively with HR, Finance, and wider stakeholders Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-country payrolls is an advantage If you are a payroll professional with financial services experience and are available for a contract role, we would like to hear from you.
