Pharmacy Dispenser Apprenticeship - Citywide Health (Bishopthorpe Road Pharmacy)

Your 18-month apprenticeship will involve working alongside our qualified dispensing team and learning how to become a Pharmacy Dispenser. The apprenticeship provides a specialised certificate, which is a requirement to work in pharmacy.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working, with hands-on experience and on-the-job learning. Apprenticeships also include time away from working for specialist training to gain professional knowledge and skills. All training is on-site, and you do not need to attend off-site college days.

An e-learning portfolio plus on-site tutors will help you progress to a Level 2 Pharmacy Dispenser qualification. Functional skills will be provided if required.

Requirements

  • Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality of information concerning customers, colleagues, company policies and statistics in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) from 25th May 2018.
  • Willingness to keep up to date with current pharmacy practice, new drugs and their uses.
  • Commitment to completing coursework in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work safely within the parameters of your role using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ability to apply policies which relate to health and safety at work.

Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
