The Opportunity Finatal are partnered with a fantastic mid-market private equity investor who are looking to add a new junior to their world class team. This is an opportunity for a 1-2 year investment banker to pivot to the buy-side and learn from the best. They have a fairly flexible strategy, but generally focus on buyouts. Super generalist re sector. They have a fantastic track record, great deal flow and wonderful culture.

The Role Analysing and executing on investment opportunities in the European mid-market (end-to-end involvement on deals). Sourcing: market research/industry analysis to identify attractive trends/themes. Maintaining relationships with advisors. Working across all diligence workstreams, including producing financial models. Assisting in the preparation of IM materials for investment committee. Portfolio monitoring and supporting management teams with value creation strategy. Building and maintaining strong relationships with management teams.

The Requirements 1-2 years at a top-tier boutique or bulge bracket investment bank (M&A). Strong modelling skills and a developed commercial acumen. An exceptional academic track record. The ability to work independently and in a team. Ambitious, adaptable mind-set.
