Programme Planner
As Programme Planner You will be actively engaged in coordinating activity with key customers and internal teams as ESP leads the way to help our customers roll-out Electric Vehicle charging points across the country, enabling progress towards net-zero.
You will be joining a highly successful and growing team, focused on high delivery standards with a customer centric mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Planning & Scheduling Develop, maintain, and manage programme plans and trackers across EV portfolios. Track progress against key milestones. Ensure dependencies, constraints, and critical paths are clearly understood and visible. Support short‑term and long‑term programme planning activities.
Programme Tracking & Reporting Maintain accurate trackers, dashboards, and reporting outputs. Monitor progress, highlight slippage, and flag risks. Support preparation of programme review packs and governance reporting. Comfortable handling high volumes of information / requests / questions and be able to keep track of actions.

Stakeholder Coordination Work closely with internal teams including Pricing, Design, Legal and Operations. Support engagement with external parties (e.g. DNOs, ICPs, manufacturers) Support effective communication across programme workstreams
Risk, Dependency & Issue Management Identify and log programme risks, issues, and dependencies. Track mitigation actions and follow up with responsible owners. Support escalation processes where programme risks threaten delivery milestones
Data Accuracy & Continuous Improvement Ensure programme data is accurate, up to date, and consistent. Support continuous improvement of programme planning tools, trackers and processes Capture lessons learned and support standardisation across programmes
Key Skills
Knowledge, Skills & Experience - Essential Experience in a project coordination, planning or administrative role. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. High attention to detail with confidence handling programmes, trackers and reporting information. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience - Desirable Experience supporting utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure projects. Knowledge of power distribution and HV connections. Experience working in a multi stakeholder and customer facing role. Bachelor’s Degree, MSP, APMP PMP, or Prince 2 accreditation. French speaking.
Personal Attributes Highly organised and methodical with a proactive approach. Comfortable working with detail while understanding the wider project context. Confident chasing actions and following up with stakeholders. Collaborative team player who supports delivery teams effectively. Calm and resilient in a fast-paced project environment. Confident dealing with competing demands for time and working to tight deadlines. Adaptable to changing circumstances, uncertainty and ambiguous or adverse situations whilst remaining calm and maintaining performance.
