You’ll be supporting children’s learning “in the moment”, which means you’ll need to think on your feet and create activities that meet the requirements of the EYFS based on what you know the children enjoy doing.

Job Summary We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioners to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills within a caring setting, ensuring each child's individual needs are met with professionalism and compassion.

Duties Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental stages of children in accordance with early childhood education standards. Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, always ensuring their safety. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines. Organise and oversee daily routines, including arrival and departure procedures. Support colleagues in managing behavioural issues using appropriate strategies. Contribute to the organisation of nursery events and activities that promote socialisation and learning. Assist with administrative tasks related to childcare documentation as required. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery environment. Experience Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood education setting. Strong understanding of child development principles and childcare best practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Experience with organising activities that promote learning through play.
