Radiology Supervisor / Radiology / Full Time Days Under the general supervision of the Radiology Director, provides personal care and professional excellence by assisting in coordinating the daily activities of the Radiographers, clerical, transport and file staff. With limited supervision and broad general direction, is responsible for assigning work and coordinating requests for radiological services and patient flow within the hospital routine. Job Duties: Follows guidelines outlined in Radiographer job description. Supervises radiographer staff to include: scheduling subordinate staff daily job assignments, assigning work, evaluating image quality, providing feedback and preparing various records/reports as required. Supervises receptionists, transporters and file clerks to provide coordination and continuity of patient care. Coordinates patient flow through department to assure exams are completed in a timely fashion, assuring that all ordered examinations are appropriately completed, documentation on requisitions is completed and films are completely assembled before being sent for interpretation. Performs various quality control, quality assurance and process Improvement tasks to comply with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Coordinates orientation and training of radiographers, organizes and oversees completion of staff competencies. Performs subordinate staff performance appraisals. Enforces hospital and department policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations to insure consistent and effective operations. Minimum Requirements: Required: Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the state of Ohio. Valid Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Preferred: Proven leadership skills with 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
