Role Overview As a growing start-up operating across multiple legal entities, we are building a scalable, high-performing recruitment function to support operational growth and workforce stability. The Recruitment Specialist will act as the recruitment subject matter expert, responsible for improving hiring performance, strengthening attraction, standardising job frameworks and reducing early attrition. This is a hands-on specialist role combining delivery, process optimisation and stakeholder partnership. The role primarily supports operational recruitment, with HQ recruitment support as required. Key Responsibilities Operational Hiring & Performance Lead end-to-end operational recruitment delivery Provide hands-on shortlisting and candidate assessment support Reduce time to hire and improve conversion rates Ensure structured, fair and evidence-based selection processes Deliver a high-quality candidate experience Outcome: Faster hiring and stronger workforce capability. Job Description & Cross-Entity Alignment Lead creation and standardisation of job descriptions Align role profiles and competencies across multiple legal entities Clarify accountabilities and success measures with stakeholders Embed governance and consistency in role documentation Outcome: Clear, aligned role expectations and consistent hiring standards. Attraction & Talent Pipeline Ensure strong volume and quality of applications per vacancy Optimise job adverts and candidate targeting Recommend and implement effective sourcing channels Use recruitment data to refine attraction and improve ROI Outcome: Higher-quality pipelines and improved hiring accuracy. Quality of Hire & Retention Analyse early attrition trends with the in-country HR Business Partner and implement hiring improvements Strengthen screening and assessment to improve long-term fit Support managers in making commercially sound hiring decisions Outcome: Improved retention and reduced replacement cost. Process & Capability Development Work with the HRIS Specialist to optimise recruitment workflows within Workday Improve reporting and recruitment performance visibility Deliver interview skills training and coaching to hiring managers Outcome: Efficient, scalable and data-led recruitment practices. How Your Performance Will be Measured Performance will be measured against agreed KPIs and objectives, which may include: Reduced time to hire Improved application quality and conversion rates Reduced first 6-12 month attrition rates Standardised job framework across legal entities Increased hiring manager capability and accountability Candidate Profile Experienced in-house recruitment specialist, ideally within a growth or multi-entity environment Proven track record of improving hiring performance and attraction methods Experience creating and standardising job descriptions Strong ATS capability (Workday highly desirable) Commercially aware, data-driven and confident influencing stakeholders Hands-on and comfortable operating at pace Experience recruiting for technician, driver, or other field-based workforce roles Other This role is primarily home-based, with occasional travel required to company sites across the UK. Business travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with the Company’s expenses policy.
