Registered Nurse -Day Surgery, Plymouth

Salary: £34,704.30 per year

Permanent, Full-time 37.5 hours per week

One Saturday shift per month from 06:45-1900, other shifts may vary on a weekly basis either 0700-1730 or 0645-1900

We are looking for a Nurse to join our team based in the CQC rated Good hospital in picturesque Plymouth. You will be part of a close knit collaborative team who pride themselves in providing the highest standard of care to our patients and their families. Our inpatients team is comprised of experienced nurses and healthcare assistants supported by our welcoming Ward Manager. As well as undertaking basic ward duties you will oversee the new patient admissions, ensuring key documentation is completed and introducing them to the care team looking after them. All of our work is planned so you will be able to plan your week with ease knowing your work schedule won’t change.

You will liaise with the wider Practice Plus Group medical team to ensure the patient’s treatment is carried out whilst maintaining the principles of patient confidentiality.

What you'll be doing

To Deliver a High Standard Of Patient Care Supported By Evidence Based Practice And To Ensure That Nursing Is Practised Within The Constraints Of And Guided By

All relevant Department of Health Legislation Health and Social care act 2012 NMC Code of professional conduct. Care Quality Commission standards NICE guidelines Group policies and procedures.

Unit specific policies and procedures. What we'll look for in you

Education & Qualifications

Essential: NMC Registered Nurse Part 1. Desirable: Immediate Life support (ILS) and Orthopaedic qualification will be an advantage

Experience

Recent post registration experience or Preceptorship Experience in an Orthopaedic Ward will be an advantage.
