We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Mintlaw Vet Surgery on part-time basis. Mintlaw Vets is a bustling single-site practice situated in Aberdeenshire. Our purpose-built premises house a vibrant and forward-thinking team that values collaboration. We hold RCVS General Practice Accreditation, alongside VetGDP, RVN Training Practice status, and ISFM Cat-Friendly Clinic Accreditation. We also implement Fear Free techniques to enhance the well-being of both clients and patients. Within our well-equipped facility, you'll find a light and spacious waiting room, 4 consulting rooms (including a dedicated nurse consult room), and 2 operating theatres, one of which doubles as a dirty ops/x-ray room. We also have staff dog accommodation on site. How You’ll Make a Difference As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. This is a part-time role working 21 hours over 3 days, Monday to Friday. There will also be a 1 in 6 Saturday rota with time off in lieu. General responsibilities include: *Providing nursing care to hospitalised patients, including monitoring and treatments *Preparing patients for theatre and monitoring anaesthesia *Administering medications, injections, and fluid therapy *Running nurse clinics (e.g. weight management, wound care, vaccinations) *Supporting and advising clients on the care of their pets *Assisting with laboratory work, diagnostic tests, and imaging You Might Be a Great Fit If... - Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
