About us:

Our team is now four years old, can speak over 8 languages, from 10 nationalities and we believe over the last four years we have been able to build strong bonds with our pet families. We are located at the foot of the Pentland Hills in glorious Edinburgh and our bright, air-conditioned surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards, with in-house laboratory facilities and has state of the art imaging equipment including digital X-ray and ultrasound affording our clients high levels of clinical workups onsite.

About you:

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Straiton Vets for Pets.

You will help ensure a high standard of care for patients and clients. Nurses are the heart of our practice and perform an integral clinical role in caring for our patients. You must be comfortable with leading by example, have great communication and organisation skills and take pride in working to a high standard. You will have an interest in and want to learn about the practice as a business, as well as, how to contribute to the team to help achieve personal and practice goals. Ideally you will have experience in a Registered Nurse role.

Key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the Veterinary Nurse role, delivering excellent patient and client care.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week but we will be willing to consider candidates who are only able to work part time. The practice opening hours are 8.30am – 7pm Monday to Saturday.

In return, we offer:

Competitive salary - (up to £32,000 depending on experience) Enhanced annual leave (4 weeks which increases to 5 weeks after 2 years and up to 6 weeks after 5 years). Pension scheme Generous CPD allowance - Schedule 3 encouraged. Paid memberships (RCVS, BVA, VDS) Exclusive colleague discounts

If you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare and great customer service, then we would love to hear from you.
