The Global Merchant & Network Services group (GMNS) Product team is at the core of American Express, uniquely positioned to support every business unit and customer across the Enterprise. The American Express Network enables over $1.6 trillion in annual spend, serving our Issuers and Acquirers in more than 170 markets worldwide. We are driving a strategic, multi-year Enterprise Payments program to bring all payments together into a centre of excellence to drive operational excellence for payment execution, enable innovative payment products, services, and capabilities to be built effectively and efficiently, support our BU strategies more closely, and deliver on our customers’ evolving payment needs.

The role of Senior Associate Digital Product Management, Enterprise Payments Product Management is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to support the development of product strategy and roadmap, contributing to the delivery of a best in-class enterprise payment service for American Express. The incumbent will assist Enterprise Critical Multi Year Initiatives and Line of Business funded initiatives aimed at reshaping and transform how payment products are built and delivered at American Express. The Senior Associate Product Manager, Enterprise Payments Product Management will collaborate closely with Business, Delivery, and Technology to define the product vision and roadmap for Enterprise Payments.

Responsibilities

Support defining the product vision and strategy for Enterprise Payments products and services used across American Express. Evaluate market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify opportunities to further enhance the product value proposition. Engage with and influence internal business stakeholders and partners to understand customer needs, flesh out use case details, collaborate on new/relevant product concepts, and co-develop solutions to deliver on Enterprise goals. Understand evolving market regulations to inform the product strategy and ultimately achieve business objectives. Assist in Identifying opportunities to leverage existing payment capabilities to deliver value for new use cases or new markets. Leverage external industry data and internal product metrics to inform product strategies. Assist in delivering go to market strategy including the operationalization plans, the commercialization strategy, articulation of the value proposition, and ongoing metrics to measure benefits realized. Update and prioritize the product roadmap including new capabilities, features, services, expanded markets, product integrations, decommission of products, etc. Assist in developing robust business cases to support prioritization of roadmap items. Collaborate with Product owners to align on product roadmap including new product features and enhanced services, as required to deliver on the overarching strategy. Define capabilities for new payment products and services, identify/prioritize use cases, and design “minimum viable product” features and user stories to ensure a focus on delivering maximum value.

Excellent communication skills, proficient in developing excellent quality presentations and deliverables for an executive audience.
