You will be working in the Infrastructure OU in where our Infrastructure team brings design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide – combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.

Skanska Technology Limited (STL) is an expanding in-house engineering design consultancy supporting projects across the water, heavy industrial, power and design and build sectors. Based in our Bridgend office, you’ll join a flexible team and work across multiple sectors to support exciting projects.

We are currently looking for a Senior Civil Engineer - Design who will be responsible for the management and technical delivery of a portfolio of small projects or of a larger project, reporting to a Senior Project Engineer.

As the Senior Civil Engineer - Design, you will:

Plan for effective project implementation. Manage the planning and organisation of tasks, people and resources to deliver successful projects to agreed time and cost expectations. Prepare and control project budgets and have sound knowledge of commercial frameworks. Technical training/mentoring of Engineers, Graduate Engineers and Technicians and brief and coordinate the work of others to ensure the timely and technically robust delivery of project scope. Working collaboratively with clients, contractors and the supply chain to understand and develop project objectives.

We are looking for:

Degree in Civil Engineering or suitable alternative qualification. Good working knowledge, understanding and experience of the applicable Eurocodes, UK Industry Codes of Practice and ability to mentor and manage others. Willingness to work in other UK offices, sites and clients’ facilities for short term assignments by agreement. UK/EEC driving licence. Technical design experience on multi-disciplinary projects.
