Senior Consultant (Bus Operations)

Context
We have an immediate opportunity to join our Passenger Transport team in the Consultancy business, at Senior Consultant level. We offer the flexibility of hybrid working, focussing on demanding and innovative projects delivering to our strategic client base, and are open to basing successful candidates at any of our offices in London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Dublin or Leeds.

The role will cover the delivery of Bus Team projects across the UK, working closely with the existing team to provide a flexible and responsive approach to the demands of various clients/projects
Missions/Main Duties
Supporting the technical delivery of bus operations, network planning and ticketing/information projects Direct liaison with clients to confirm their latest requirements and ensure we are fulfilling their needs Delivering technical solutions for existing clients either alone or contributing as part of a team Discussing future requirements with new and existing clients, securing new business for SYSTRA Enhancing your personal skills through continuous personal development to ensure the team is at the forefront of emerging techniques and technologies Supporting other sectors within the SYSTRA Consultancy Division to deliver public transport elements within wider projects such as transport planning studies, development plans or preparation of business cases Project management Proposal management Support business development initiatives Identifying and effectively communicating client/project objectives Model quality assurance for investment/transaction decisions Preparation and delivery of technical reports and presentations

Profile/Skills
Ideally a degree in a relevant subject (Transport Planning, Maths, Science etc.) or Masters in Transport Planning – or equivalent experience Significant Bus operations experience, including network planning and other commercial skills Experience delivering ticketing and/or information projects Direct work for clients including on site secondments Good report and proposal writing skills Established relationships with existing and potential clients in the public and private sector Flexibility and ability to juggle competing project demands
