Senior Data Engineer (12M FTC) | Investment Data Transformation

Own the data engineering capability for a world-class investment platform We’re hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join a high-performing Investment Data & Operations team with one of our client organisations, delivering a major data transformation programme across a complex, multi-asset portfolio.

You’ll act as the go-to technical lead for investment data, owning pipeline architecture, driving automation across operations, and ensuring data is reliable, scalable, and decision-ready.

🔧 What you’ll be doing Own the end-to-end data pipeline ecosystem (APIs, integrations, data flows across multiple platforms) Define and implement data architecture, standards, and governance frameworks Build and scale robust, production-grade pipelines supporting reporting & analytics Drive automation across investment operations — removing manual, spreadsheet-heavy processes Develop dashboards, reconciliation tools, and operational intelligence solutions Partner with data, tech, and investment teams to deliver real business impact

🎯 What we’re looking for 5–10+ years’ experience in data engineering within asset management / financial services Strong Python & SQL — you’ve built and owned pipelines in production Proven experience designing data architecture and integration frameworks Track record of automating operational workflows end-to-end Strong understanding of investment data (portfolios, transactions, valuations, performance) Comfortable leading from the front — owning delivery, influencing stakeholders, and setting direction
