Senior Digital Design Engineer, Automotive

Our Team The SERDES Networking Solutions (SNS) team within NXP develops transceivers for in-vehicle networking (IVN) with data rates from 2Gbs to 16Gps. These transceivers deploy sophisticated analog and digital design to provide video, audio, control and Ethernet connectivity within the vehicle. Your role We are looking for a Senior Digital Design Engineer to join our team of engineers who define and implement new capabilities for our transceivers. Your responsibilities Design, implement and support in-vehicle networking devices as part of NXP’s Automotive product line. Be responsible for defining block requirements and architecture, optimizing for area, power and timing, implementing functional safety requirements, and coordinating with verification and validation teams to comply with automotive design processes. Documentation - Create robust design documentation to clearly communicate design intent to team members. Implementation - Implement design intent in SystemVerilog or Chisel. Collaboration - Work closely with Architecture, digital and analog design, DV and validation teams to ensure timely delivery of quality products. Your profile B.S./M.S. Electrical/Computer Engineering (or similar degrees) Experience in silicon design, including synthesis, static timing closure, and DFT Fluent in SystemVerilog or VHDL and an object-oriented software language Expertise desired in Ethernet networking, automotive design processes, embedded ARM or RISC-V processors, and Chisel Hands on experience in debug and silicon bringup Creating Secure Connections and Infrastructure for a Smarter World NXP Semiconductors N.V.
