What you will do:
Note that this is an office-based role (4 days per week).
We're looking for a gifted writer and strategic communications leader to serve as deputy to our Head of Communications - someone who can develop strategy, own major programs end-to-end, and confidently hold down the fort when needed.
You'll own three critical programs: building distributed thought leadership across our Research Directors, driving podcast growth and business impact, and developing our employer brand. But this isn't a pure strategy role - you'll balance high-level thinking with hands-on execution, writing high-stakes content and ensuring programs deliver measurable results.
You're obsessively organized, write pristine and error-free copy, and move seamlessly between strategic thinking and tactical delivery. You understand Zero100's irreverent-but-premium tone instinctively: you know when to inject personality and when to dial up the polish, when a well-placed observation lands and when it undermines credibility. You proactively communicate without being chased, spot opportunities for improvement, and have the judgment to know when to escalate and when to solve independently.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
