Salary: Up to £44,500.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse - SACT to join their team of staff in the Oncology department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties Of This Role Include

Deliver Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) safely and effectively in line with national guidance, local policies, and competency frameworks. Undertake comprehensive patient assessments, including pre-treatment review, toxicity assessment, and ongoing monitoring throughout treatment cycles. Provide clinical leadership and day-to-day guidance to junior nurses and support staff within the SACT service. Support induction, supervision, and competency assessment of nursing staff delivering SACT. Ensure compliance with SACT governance frameworks, including national chemotherapy standards, COSHH, and medicines management requirements. Participate in clinical audit, incident reporting, and investigation, contributing to shared learning and service improvement.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration. Significant post-registration experience in oncology nursing. Level 6 or 7 qualification in the administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT). Proven experience delivering SACT independently and safely. Strong understanding of oncology pathways, treatment regimens, and supportive care. Demonstrable knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety, and medicines management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients in emotionally challenging situations.
