Bath and North East Somerset Children’s Social Care are an innovative small Local Authority focused on therapeutic assessment and support. Rated Good by OFSTED, with continued vision and drive to improve further.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced social worker to join our team. We are committed to being a dynamic and innovative Local Authority, working hard to think differently about how we approach our work with families and we are deeply committed to providing tailored high-quality services and well thought out interventions to families to keep children safe.

We guarantee regular supervision with dedicated time for reflective practice in both group supervision and peer support.

We offer our social workers/ senior practitioners a clear and exciting career pathway within our organisation, with workshops, training and ongoing support. This includes an extensive training programme, paid Social Work England membership renewals and laptops to promote flexible working.

Bath and North East Somerset Children’s Services are embarking on an exciting journey in embedding our practice model; relationship-based practice, systemic practice approaches, trauma informed practice and attachment focused social work.

Our practice is values-driven with a strong ethos of child-focussed practice and as a Local Authority we work hard to support children and families at an early stage; we are committed to providing the best outcomes for our children and young people.

Senior Social Work Practitioners in Bath and North East Somerset will manage their own caseload, which will include children and families with complex needs.

About You
