Ready to lead suicide prevention work that genuinely changes lives across London?
We’re looking for a confident, capable mental health professional who knows how to turn knowledge into real-world impact. You’ll bring strong understanding of suicide prevention, safeguarding, risk, and how neurodiversity can shape mental health and suicidal ideation. You’ll be able to adapt your approach to meet different needs, hold difficult conversations, and deliver high-quality training and interventions that actually land. A relevant qualification (or equivalent experience) in mental health, psychology, or social care is expected, and an enhanced DBS will be required.
This role is about leading and growing suicide prevention work across South West London—expanding reach, strengthening partnerships, and improving early intervention. You’ll drive forward inclusive outreach and training, ensuring neurodiverse needs are understood and embedded in delivery, while safeguarding remains central to all activity.
You will:
Lead and deliver suicide prevention outreach, training, and targeted interventions across community and educational settings Design and deliver engaging, evidence-based training on suicide prevention, safeguarding, and neurodiversity Adapt delivery to ensure approaches are inclusive and responsive to neurodiverse individuals Build strong partnerships with statutory, community, and voluntary sector organisations Monitor, evaluate, and report on activity and outcomes to evidence impact and inform service development Provide line management and oversight to staff and volunteers, ensuring safe and consistent delivery Embed safeguarding best practice across all activity, including risk management and escalation
You are:
Knowledgeable in suicide prevention, safeguarding, and supporting individuals at risk Confident in understanding and responding to neurodiversity within a mental health context An effective communicator who can translate complex, sensitive topics into accessible learning Organised and able to manage competing priorities across multiple locations Reflective, adaptable, and able to respond calmly in challenging situations Committed to making a measurable difference in mental health and suicide prevention.
