Shift Manager
Job Description
DP World are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager to join our fast-paced operation in Hinckley. In this role you will be responsible for the planning, management and coordination of the shift. This role is on our evening shift, Mon- Fri - 16:00-00:30.
About The Role
- Responsibility and control of the shift ensuring the highest level of service is available at all times
- Responsible for planning the shift and monitoring targets, setting and following up on actions in case of non-achievement of the set KPIs
- Monitor the internal and external handovers between departments to ensure clean and complete transfer of product both internally and to external carriers
- Coordination of all shift activities within the Operation including productivity, cost control, resource utilisation and service achievement
- Responsible for all H&S on site during your shift period
- Respond effectively to situations arising on shift ensuring efficient operational output
- Leadership of 15 direct reports and 10 indirect reports plus operational warehouse operatives
- Ensure teams are effectively skilled/motivated/trained and resourced

Your Key Skills
- Strong previous management experience within a fast-paced logistics operation
- Excellent communication skills with expertise in managing customer relationships
- Good level of Maths and English
- Proven experience in leadership and development of teams (skills/training etc)
- Strong understanding with Warehouse Management Systems and MS-Office
- Team player, have strong communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to work independently and be goal-oriented, proactive approach with a high level of commitment.
