This post is Fixed term/Secondment until 07/06/2027 to meet the needs of the service.

A rare opportunity has arisen to work in partnership with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Tier 4 North Wales Adolescent Service (NWAS), and Tier 3 Specialist Eating Disorders (SPEED) teams, as a Specialist Clinical Dietitian (2days).

Part of this post is based in the Central Integrated Health Community of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, working on Kestrel ward at NWAS.

The other part of this fixed term role is working within our Acute Dietetic Service to provide this specialist service to the Vascular Ward and MDT, and to be an integral member of the Conwy & Denbighshire (Central BCUHB) area Acute Dietetic team, based at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Hospital site (1day).

Main duties of the job

This post will give you the opportunity to work with the CAMHS/SPEED and Acute Teams to facilitate development of cutting edge Nutrition and Dietetic services in North Wales. You will have the opportunity to contribute to robust quality improvement processes for nutrition.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

BSc Nutrition and dietetics degree or equivalent HCPC Registration

Desirable criteria

Member of specialist interest group Working towards MSc or evidence of research qualification

Experience

Essential criteria

Post registration training in specialist area, and / or evidence of CPD activity through portfolio Clinical educators course Member of British Dietetic Association

Desirable criteria

Evidence of service development and ability to use own initiative Advanced diploma in dietetics

Skills

Essential criteria

Excellent communication skills. Ability to work in a team and unsupervised. Ability to manage own workload. Proven organisational skills. Good time management skills. Good teaching, supervisory and appraisal skills.

Desirable criteria

Basic IT/Keyboard skills Experience in working in the community /lone working. Experience in risk management.

Knowledge
