We are seeking an enthusiastic Specialist Practitioner District Nurse to join our dedicated Tweeddale District Nursing Team.

About The Role

As part of our locality-based model, you will deliver highquality, personcentred nursing care to patients within their own homes and community settings. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, carers, and families to support complex care needs and promote independence wherever possible.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an individual who demonstrates:

A Specialist Practitioner Qualification in District Nursing (SPQ), or working towards completion. NMC registered nurse. Strong clinical assessment and decisionmaking skills Experience of caseload management and leadership within a community setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work flexibly within a localitybased model across rural areas Commitment to weekend working on a rotational basis A full UK driving licence, as travel across the locality is essential Prescribing qualification desirable and evidence of CPD

Please note: the salary quoted is for full-time hours (36 hrs per week). For appointments to part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check done than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
