Are you a passionate educator with a heart for helping children with health-related challenges? As a Specialist Teacher in the Health Related Education Team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with physical and mental health difficulties. You will work primarily in Rushcliffe, Gedling, Broxtowe, and Hucknall, providing tailored educational support to individuals and groups. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of young learners!

In This Role, You Will

Teach maths and science up to GCSE level, along with other subjects as needed (KS1-4). Support children experiencing emotional-based school avoidance. Collaborate with school staff, parents, and professionals to create effective strategies and provisions. Maintain accurate records and reports to track progress and outcomes. Provide advice and guidance on appropriate adjustments for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Work flexibly across various settings, including online platforms, to meet the diverse needs of students.

To Succeed In This Role, You Will Need

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). A minimum of 3 years post-qualification teaching experience in a school setting. Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current developments in SEND. The ability to teach maths and science up to GCSE level, along with other subjects as required. Daily access to a car for travel across the designated areas.
