Job Purpose: In partnership with the management team and directors to guide the vision and direction of IIT and to oversee the leadership of the staff body.
Responsibilities
- Leadership Strategic Development To review the vision and strategy of Imagine If Trust (IIT) in collaboration with the directors the management team and current staff, taking into account the views of other stakeholders, in particular Frontline Church, and also the users of current services, current and potential funders. Work and communicate with Frontline leaders and staff, fostering good relationships with them and have shared respect for their God inspired vision, and ideas. In partnership with the management team to review the roles and job descriptions of current staff and to ensure the resource is used effectively To determine any training or development needs of the management team Working with the management team, directors and current staff to form a plan for the long term sustainability and growth of IIT. To ensure the vision and strategy that is produced as part of the strategic review is communicated and actioned by all staff and embedded in the charity’s documentation. To succession plan for the next phase of development of IIT Management To line manage the current management team and to oversee their day to day management of IIT. With the management team to ensure that current projects are run well and are financially sustainable To ensure income generation is maximised To oversee with the management team grant applications process and a vibrant funding pipe line. Develop new initiatives; whether self-generated or brought by others, that move the organisation forward towards its strategic aims. To Provide an update to each Trustee Meeting of: a. Each project b. The overall financial position including expenditure ,and income, both generated and grant income
- Partnership and Profile Develop complementary partnerships with agencies and organisations to further strategic aims. Lead on all interactions with the media. Engage in regular networking events, training opportunities and conferences. Increase the profile of Imagine If Trust with grant funders, agencies and those awarding contracts.
Length of Time An expectation of one year, with a minimum of six months and with the possibility of extending beyond one year. Formal ‘check points’ in place at 3 months, 6 months and 12 months, to review progress and affordability, and to ensure both parties are happy.
