Are you a friendly, engaging and enthusiastic communicator with a passion for creating content that connects with students? We are looking for a collaborative and creative individual to join our student living team as a Student Living Communications and Engagement Officer.

Reporting to the Student Living Engagement Manager, you will support the delivery of a comprehensive student communications and engagement strategy. You will help ensure students have access to timely, relevant and engaging residential information throughout their journey. The role holder will be responsible for developing, delivering and evaluating communications designed to engage student residents across the University of Nottingham's Student Living portfolio. Working closely with colleagues and student content creators, you will help build a student-led approach to communications that supports residential life, wellbeing, events and compliance.

We are looking for a candidate:

With excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and a strong eye for detail. Who is confident creating engaging digital content, including social media posts, stories, reels and newsletters. With creative flair and the ability to write and edit clear, engaging copy for a range of student audiences. Who enjoys working collaboratively and can build positive relationships with colleagues and student content creators. With strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Who can use insight, feedback and data to improve communications and student engagement. With a proactive, enthusiastic and customer-focused approach. Who can support Student Living projects with insightful feedback, fresh ideas and willingness to get involved.

This is a varied and rewarding role that plays a key part in enhancing the residential student experience. You will have the opportunity to contribute to engagement activity, support events and campaigns, and work flexibly across key points in the student lifecycle, including open days and arrivals.

This position is offered on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.

Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
