We are looking for a Surveyor to join the Affordable Housing team within our UK Residential Value and Risk Advisory business

The Affordable Housing team in JLL’s UK Residential Value and Risk Advisory business needs a Surveyor in a replacement role on the investment valuation side of the team. Busy, growing, and very successful in our market, the team needs a valuer who can learn quickly to support complex portfolio and development valuations of social housing throughout the country, and provide an excellent level of service to our existing clients. Social housing experience is not a prerequisite for the role but it would be preferred.

Working in support of a team of six, this role would suit someone who is highly numerate with experience of working with DCF valuation models and managing small projects with large amounts of data. Strong written and oral communication skills for liaising with clients, both lenders and investors, are essential, coupled with an empathy for the social housing sector.

The role would be based at our West End office in London but with flexible and hybrid working. Some travel nationally will be required for client meetings, and inspections.

Required or desirable skills and experience for this role:

MRICS qualification (essential). RICS Registered Valuer. Full clean driving license with own car (preferable). Experience in the valuation of property assets using DCF, either residential property or other asset classes. Fluent user of MS Excel, including data analysis and handling large amounts of data. Excellent written English, with the ability to produce high quality, accurate valuation reports in MS Word with good attention to detail. Project management with experience of supporting client relationships and instructions. Ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple, competing priorities. Strong work ethic, with a demonstrable commitment to client service. Enthusiastic and self-motivated. Flexible, team player.
