Tax Associate | Leading Private Equity Firm | London

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the in-house tax team of one of Europe's most respected mid-market private equity firms, a business with c.£20bn funds under management, a global footprint, and genuine momentum.

The role

You'll be joining a close-knit tax team with a broad remit, covering the firm's funds, investments and management business. No two days look the same. One day you're overseeing multi-jurisdictional tax compliance, the next you're supporting on investment structuring, M&A transactions or carried interest reporting. You'll work directly alongside the Senior Tax Manager and Head of Tax, with real visibility across the business including the investment and capital markets teams.

What you'll be doing

Reviewing and implementing external structuring advice on new investments and fundraises Supporting on carried interest structuring and reporting across multiple jurisdictions Overseeing tax compliance and reporting across the firm's funds, working with UK, US and European external advisers Inputting into M&A work and helping operationalise tax structures Broader tax advisory, structuring and governance matters Identifying opportunities to improve processes through automation and AI Advising on ad hoc queries across the wider finance function

What they're looking for

A tax professional with ideally a grounding in private equity, alternatives or investment partnerships either from practice or in-house. This is not essential so Tax professionals with a broader Financial Services background will be considered also. Comfortable working or keen to develop knowledge across funds tax, compliance and advisory matters Someone who takes pride in attention to detail but can also see the bigger commercial picture A self-starter who's willing to roll up their sleeves on data-heavy work when needed Curiosity around AI and how it can improve the way tax teams work Strong communicator, able to translate complex tax issues for non-tax stakeholders
