Our client, a leading US law firm with a growing London platform, is seeking to hire into its highly regarded Tax team. The group advises private equity sponsors, asset managers, multinational corporates and financial institutions on complex UK and cross-border tax matters across a broad range of transactions.

Work Highlights

The practice advises an impressive client base including private equity houses, infrastructure and credit funds, multinational corporates, banks and alternative asset managers.

Lawyers in the team advise across a wide range of transactional and advisory tax matters, including:

Tax structuring for domestic and cross-border M&A transactions Private equity acquisitions, disposals and portfolio company structuring Fund formation and carried interest arrangements Financing transactions, including leveraged and structured finance Corporate reorganisations and group restructurings Management incentive plans and executive compensation structuring International tax issues, including permanent establishment, withholding and treaty matters Tax aspects of capital markets transactions

Candidate Profile

Trainee Solicitor at a leading City or international firm, qualifying in September 2026 with a seat in Tax or Corporate Strong academic background and high-quality training Exposure to transactional tax work, ideally in M&A, private equity or finance Familiarity with UK corporate tax principles and an interest in international tax matters Commercially minded with an interest in complex deal structuring Enthusiastic about client development and building relationships early in your career
