What is the job role?

Moat House Primary School is a 2-form entry school, situated in the North-East of Coventry and is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Class Teacher to make a meaningful difference to the lives of our children. We are set within a caring school community, where children enjoy their learning. All of the staff are committed to our children, to ensure they are being given opportunities to participate in a broad and balanced curriculum, whilst encouraging them to achieve their full potential, in our vibrant school.

The Headteacher and Governing Body at Moat House Primary School are looking to appoint a teacher available to start September 2026. This is a Fixed-term post for 12 months to cover maternity leave and will be offered on Teacher Main Pay Scale.

Who are we looking for?

You must be an inspirational class teacher who is able to both motivate and support pupils of all abilities. You will be passionate about all aspects of teaching and learning. You will be keen to develop your own knowledge and practices further and will be happy to engage in professional development opportunities. You will be a team player, happy to work with experienced and supportive colleagues, in order to enable a learning experience that gives children every opportunity to achieve their individual potential.

You will be expected to:

Be well organised Be an excellent classroom practitioner Have high expectations for the children’s attainment, progress and behaviour Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and be involved in the full life of the school Be cheerful, enthusiastic and creative Have a good relationship with children and parents
