Team Leader

Description

In this role you work closely with all colleagues within the operation, along with the wider Management Team and support functions to ensure delivery of a first class, professional and consistent Operation. As a Warehouse Team Leader at Debenhams Group, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of warehouse personnel, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining a safe working environment. You will play a critical role in optimising productivity and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

The working hours for this role is Tuesday - Saturday, 07:00am - 15:00pm

Key responsibilities -

Lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse operatives. Create work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure adequate staffing levels. Train new employees and provide ongoing training to improve skills. Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide feedback. Enforce safety protocols, conduct safety training, and maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, procurement, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations. Generate and analyse performance metrics and report findings to upper management.

Requirements

Experience in a similar supervisory or team management role Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities. Understanding of health & safety regulations and practices within a warehouse setting. Target driven with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. Diplomatic nature and ability to resolve issues efficiently and professionally. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Ability to analyse data and generate reports
