We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to join the Technical Services Team supporting the Department of Chemistry’s Research Laboratories at the University of Warwick.

Reporting to the Deputy Technical Services Facilities Manager (Research), you will be part of a team of Senior Support Technicians and Technical Assistants who deliver high quality technical support to staff, students and visitors in the Department of Chemistry's Research Laboratories.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden and further develop their skills in an academic setting, while gaining insight into a growing and strategically important department at the University of Warwick.

About You

We are looking for a well-organised and adaptable individual who can work both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach and the ability to follow procedures accurately within a structured environment.

You should have strong communication skills and be confident interacting with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff and students. Good attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to prioritise tasks are essential.

A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to support across different areas are key to success in this role. Previous experience in a laboratory, technical, or customer-facing environment would be advantageous. Knowledge of health and safety practices, chemical handling, or inventory systems would be desirable, although full training will be provided.
