Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Time-Served or Trainee Jeweller/Goldsmith role located in Ayr. The Time-Served or Trainee Jeweller/Goldsmith will be responsible for crafting and repairing bespoke jewellery pieces to the highest standards using traditional and modern techniques. Core responsibilities include engaging with clients to understand their design needs, setting gemstones, resizing and polishing jewellery, and contributing to custom jewellery creation projects. The role also involves training with the Master Goldsmith/Diamond Setter, and ensuring quality control for all jewellery pieces.
Qualifications Professional experience in jewellery crafting techniques, including stone setting, engraving, and soldering. Proficiency in repairing, resizing, and restoring fine jewellery. Strong attention to detail, precision, and excellence in quality control. Creative design skills with the ability to incorporate customer preferences into bespoke jewellery pieces. Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members. Knowledge of industry trends and materials, such as gemstones and precious metals. Certification or formal training in jewellery making, goldsmithing, or a related field preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
