Entry Level

ESC is a small charity supporting people with endometriosis on the South Coast. We need an organised, people-focused volunteer to coordinate training for our growing volunteer team, from mandatory compliance programmes through to role-specific development opportunities

What difference will you make?

ESC's volunteers are the backbone of everything we do. As our team grows, so does the responsibility to make sure every volunteer is properly equipped, compliant, and supported to develop in their role. Without someone dedicated to coordinating that, training becomes inconsistent, mandatory requirements get missed, and volunteers are left to navigate things on their own.

By taking on this role, you will build ESC's training infrastructure from the ground up, creating something that will serve the organisation and its volunteers for years to come. The volunteers you support will go on to deliver frontline services, manage our communications, run our events, and shape our strategy. Investing in their development is investing directly in the people we exist to support those living with endometriosis across the South Coast who deserve the very best from us

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is organised, methodical, and comfortable managing systems and records. Keeping a training log accurate, tracking compliance across a growing team, and making sure nothing falls through the gaps requires real attention to detail and the ability to manage your own workload reliably.

Strong communication skills matter too. You will be working with volunteers across the organisation, as well as with specialist leads in safeguarding and EDI, and you will need to make training feel engaging and relevant rather than a chore.

Experience in learning and development, training coordination, or a related field. Familiarity with mandatory training requirements in the charity or healthcare sector. Experience sourcing or evaluating online training content, or working with e-learning platforms or learning management systems, would also be an advantage.

Most importantly, we want someone who genuinely believes that well-supported volunteers do better work, and who brings that conviction to the role. A commitment to inclusive practice and to ESC's values of trust, community, and integrity is essential.

What will you be doing?

Endometriosis South Coast (ESC) is a registered charity supporting people affected by endometriosis and adenomyosis. We provide community, information, and advocacy for those who are too often unheard, and in 2026 we are building a team-led structure that puts our volunteers in the driving seat.

As our volunteer team grows, making sure everyone has the knowledge, skills, and confidence to do their role well becomes increasingly important. As Training & Development Coordinator, you will own that, from mandatory compliance training through to development opportunities that help individual volunteers thrive.

Day to day, this means maintaining ESC's mandatory training programme covering safeguarding, EDI, and GDPR; keeping the training log accurate and flagging anything overdue; sourcing or developing role-specific training in collaboration with team leads and trustees; and coordinating any group training sessions from scheduling through to follow-up. You will also maintain a shared training calendar and provide a monthly compliance update to our People & Volunteers Trustee.

This is a role for someone who is organised and passionate about learning, and who can make training feel relevant and accessible rather than a box-ticking exercise.
