ESC is a small charity supporting people with endometriosis on the South Coast. We need a confident, organised volunteer to manage our recruitment pipeline — from listing roles and reviewing applications through to interviewing candidates and handing over to onboarding.
What difference will you make?
Volunteers are ESC. Without the right people in the right roles, we cannot deliver support, run our programmes, or grow. At the moment, recruitment sits with our Founder alongside everything else she manages. This role exists to change that.
By taking ownership of our recruitment pipeline, you will free up capacity at the top of the organisation and ensure that every person who applies to volunteer with ESC is treated with the care and professionalism they deserve. The volunteers you recruit will go on to support people living with endometriosis across the South Coast, many of whom have spent years feeling dismissed and unheard. Your work is where that support begins.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is organised, warm, and comfortable managing a process from start to finish with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail is essential, as is confident written communication; you will be the first point of contact for many of our applicants, and the impression you make matters.
You will need to be comfortable conducting short video interviews and making shortlisting decisions with fairness and consistency. An empathetic, professional approach to people is important throughout, particularly when communicating outcomes to unsuccessful candidates.
Experience in recruitment, HR, or volunteer management. A genuine commitment to ESC's values of inclusivity, trust, and community, and the self-motivation to manage your own workload reliably in a remote, flexible setting.
Familiarity with the Reach Volunteers platform or similar tools is a bonus, as is experience in the charity sector or an understanding of endometriosis or chronic health conditions more broadly

What will you be doing?
Endometriosis South Coast (ESC) is a registered charity supporting people affected by endometriosis and adenomyosis. We provide community, information, and advocacy for those who are too often unheard, and in 2026 we are transitioning to a team-led structure that puts volunteers at the centre of how we operate.
As Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator, you will take real ownership of how ESC finds and selects the people who make our work possible. You will manage our presence on the Reach Volunteers platform, lead on shortlisting and interviewing, and make sure every applicant has a positive experience regardless of outcome.
Day to day, this means maintaining our Reach profile and listings, monitoring the inbox at least twice a week, logging and triaging applications, conducting short video interviews with shortlisted candidates, and keeping records accurate throughout. You will also provide a brief monthly update to our People & Volunteers Trustee and work closely with our Volunteer Onboarding Coordinator to hand over successful candidates smoothly.
